At Maxim Nyansa IT Solutions, our mission is to create career opportunities for young Africans through information technology. We aim to bridge the digital divide and provide the necessary skills to enhance employability and entrepreneurship among the youth in Kenema.
THE CHALLENGE
In Kenema, 80% of the unemployed population is under the age of 35. The high cost of acquiring computer-related skills makes it difficult for the underprivileged youth to access these opportunities. Our project aims to address this by providing affordable and quality ICT education and vocational training.
OUR SOLUTION
We will refurbish a building to establish a fully-equipped ICT center. This center will offer:
Training Programs: Intensive courses for 50 youths in digital skills and hardware repairs.
Equipment: 40 desktop computers, professional printers, and a digital library with open-source learning materials.
Local Empowerment: Training for teachers and core staff to ensure sustainable knowledge transfer.
